IsoLynx a huge success at Meadows in Australian first!

The Meadows Greyhound Dog Track in Broadmeadows NSW is one of the most advanced dog tracks in Australia. The 2 turn dog track has race distances of 520m, 600m and 725m and industry leading timing equipment ensures reliable data points at each section. 

In 2017 Meadows became the first race track in Australia to install industry leading IsoLynx tracking technology. This technology revolutionised the potential of data points collected per race and changed the way greyhounds are trained, watched and bet on.

IsoLynx is a real-time location system that uses a network of wireless tags to capture live data including speed, acceleration, distance traveled etc. The light weight, aerodynamic tags are inserted into the dogs race coats and transmit data up to 40x per second.

Along with the IsoLynx technology Meadows Dogs uses the most advanced finish-lynx camera; the EtherLynx Vision Pro capable of capturing 20, 000 frames per second. Meadows has three Etherlynx Vision Pro Cameras, one positioned on the main finish line, a sectional camera on the back straight of the track and a back up camera which is supplied to many of our large race tracks.

An Integrated Solution.

Along with Finish-Lynx and IsoLynx timing equipment, Meadows timing solution is complete with Brook Group timing photocells and start gates in order to provide an integrated system of precision, reliability, and efficiency.

Our priority is finding the best holistic solution for our clients for racing, entertainment and advertising purposes. For meadows this meant a 12mm pixel 46m² Video Screen located behind the finish line with the multi-function ability to display results, advertising, sponsorship and live broadcast of Skye channel.

Along with the large screen meadows has a 10mm pixel 3.07m² Video Screen above their start boxes engaging the audience at every stage of the race. The video boards are encased in an aluminium powder coated enclosure to ensure stability and durability. The front LED’s are coated in an IP-65 protective waterproof mask ensuring the board is protected against the harshest conditions.
