The start light is lodged in a strong light container measuring 33cm high x 24cm long x 10cm deep). The red, green and yellow lights and the 5 countdown lights are created by using combinations of electromagnetic pixels in the three colours. This solution guarantees optimal visibility, even in conditions of strong background light, rapid on/off times and very low power consumption. Normally power consumption is almost zero and power is only really used during the on/off/on signal. The size of the lights (7.5 x 9cm) allow excellent visibility. The device can be controlled:

• by cable connection to the start beeper MicroBEEP
• by using the dedicated buttons set into the side panel of the signal light
• via a PC parallel port
• by cable connection with the REI2 stopwatch
